“Your Fantastic Mind” Features Yerkes Researchers

The season 3 opener of “Your Fantastic Mind” features two Yerkes researchers:
- Larry Young, PhD, is in the lead-off segment about Love and the Brain. He is chief of the Yerkes Division of Behavioral Neuroscience and Psychiatric Disorders, director of the Center for Translational Social Neuroscience (CTSN) at Emory, principal investigator and director of the NIH-funded Silvio O. Conte Center at Emory and William P. Timmie Professor in the School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry.
- Vas Michopoulos, PhD, is in the segment about the Grady Trauma Project work on trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) among African-American mothers. She is a Yerkes Core Scientist with expertise in both nonhuman primate (NHP) and human behavioral neuroendocrinology and psychoneuroimmunology. She is also co-director of the Grady Trauma Project and an associate professor in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at Emory University.
“Your Fantastic Mind” is a television series created through a partnership between Emory University and Georgia Public Broadcasting. Earlier this year, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Southeast Chapter honored the program with six Emmy awards, including best TV series.
Season 3 consists of four, one-hour episodes airing from November 2021 to May 2022.
